|
This journal provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that making research freely available supports the universal exchange of knowledge. All journal content is published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). This license allows to distribute and copy the article; create extracts, abstracts, and other revised versions, adaptations, or derivative works from the article (such as translations); include the article in collective works (like anthologies); and conduct text or data mining on the article. These activities are permitted even for commercial purposes, provided that the user: gives appropriate credit to the author(s) (including a link to the formal publication via the relevant DOI); includes a link to the license; indicates if any changes were made; and does not falsely imply that the author(s) endorse the adaptation or modify the article in a way that harms the authors' honor or reputation.

I4OC Standards
|
The I4OC standards aim to enhance the availability and usability of citation data, supporting more transparent and reproducible research practices.
The Journal of Biochemicals and Phytomedicine adheres to the I4OC standards for open citations, which are a set of guidelines and principles designed to promote openness and access to citation data in scholarly publications.
These standards include:
- Open Access to Citation Data: I4OC aims for citation data to be freely available and accessible without restriction. This means that citation information should be usable by anyone who wishes to access it without barriers.
- Machine-Readability: Citations should be provided in formats that are easily readable and usable by machines, such as structured data formats (e.g., JSON, XML). This facilitates the automated processing and integration of citation data.
- Standardization: The initiative supports the use of standardized formats for citation data, such as CrossRef’s Cited-by and DataCite citation schema. Standardization helps ensure consistency and interoperability across different platforms and databases.
- Transparency and Accuracy: The standards emphasize the need for transparency in citation practices and the accuracy of citation data to maintain the integrity and reliability of scholarly references.
- Support for Open Citations Policies: I4OC promotes the adoption of open citation policies by publishers and journals to ensure that citation data is openly available and usable by the research community.

The Policy of Screening for Plagiarism
|
Manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening via iThenticate™. Plagiarism or self-plagiarism leads to rejection or retraction, ensuring compliance with COPE guidelines.
All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. Manuscripts submitted to this journal will be screened for plagiarism using similarity checks and plagiarism detection tools. Any manuscripts found to involve plagiarism, duplicated publication, data fabrication, or falsification will be immediately rejected or retracted. The journal ensures all authors adhere to international standards for academic integrity. Plagiarism, whether intentional or not, is unacceptable, and any idea, phrase, or word from another source must be properly cited, with quotation marks for direct quotes. If a manuscript does not comply with these rules, it will be rejected or retracted.
|
Retraction Policy
|
Articles may be retracted due to scientific misconduct, errors, or ethical violations. Retractions are linked to the original article, ensuring transparency and integrity.
An article may be retracted when its findings are no longer considered trustworthy due to scientific misconduct or error, if it plagiarizes previously published work, or violates ethical guidelines. Retraction may also occur when the integrity of the work is substantially undermined owing to errors in conduct, analysis, or reporting. The original paper will be marked as RETRACTED, but a PDF version remains available to readers, with a RETRACTION statement bi-directionally linked to the original publication. Retraction statements typically include an assent or dissent from the authors.
